Trip to Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve

As I mentioned in my last post, I went to Corpus Christi for the Wings Over South Texas air show on Saturday. On Sunday, I got up and was looking for the closest state park. Apple Maps isn't very smart so it put up all the parks close by and literally down the street from the motel was Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve. I beieve it is owned by the city. It is just a relatively small piece of land but it has a lot of different habitats in the small area. The eastern edge is on Oso Bay that opens into Corpus Christi Bay. It has marshes, trees, and fields tall grass. There are structures that rise above the shrubs so that the Osprey fishing in the bay can be seen. It is just a really nice place to discover.

It appears I found and photographed eight birds that I've never photographed before and some that were not new. Enjoy!
